Northwood T20 Victory Against DHS

On Saturday 23 November Northwood played against DHS in the National T20 competition. This game was really important as the winner would move into the coastal semi-final to be played in February 2014.

DHS won the toss and elected to bat first .Northwood bowled really well and was backed up by some outstanding fielding. The pick of the bowlers were Y Ramsurrup 4 overs 1/22, K Rawling 4 overs 1/25 and C Wallace 3 overs 0/11. After 20 overs DHS set a competitive target of 115.

Northwood kept up with the required run rate with good contributions from D Krummeck 26 and B Capell 22 .After the departure of Krummeck and Capell , Northwood had to work hard, G Wright 16 not out and N Jaffar 14 ran brilliantly between the wicket to set up a tense finish with Northwood requiring 1 run off the final ball which they achieved once again with a brilliant run.  Northwood won by 5 wickets and can look forward to competing in the semi-final in 2014.

Remembrance Day at Northwood 2013

The morning of November 11 (the 11th day of the 11th month) we honoured Northwood’s fallen heroes who lost their lives while serving their country. After the names of the Old Boys were read out the flag was lowered as the Last Post was played, and the boys and staff held a minute silence in memory of their sacrifice. Forever Knights.
