Welcome to Northwood Boarding, located in Durban North, South Africa. Our two boarding houses, John Bruyns House and Beachwood House, offer a home away from home for over 175 boarders.
Our boarding houses provide a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for students to live and study. We offer a range of amenities and services to ensure that our boarders have everything they need to thrive academically, socially, and personally.
John Bruyns House, opened in 1994, is our Senior House, catering for boys grade 9 to 12, while Beachwood House, opened in 2017, is located on our lower campus next to our astro, and is home to our grade 8 boarders. Both boarding houses are fully furnished with comfortable beds, study desks, and ample storage space.
Our boarding houses also feature common areas, including TV lounges, study areas, and recreational facilities. Our boarders naturally have access to a range of daily school extracurricular activities which help to foster a sense of community and provide opportunities for personal growth and development.
At Northwood Boarding, we pride ourselves on our experienced and dedicated boarding staff, who provide round-the-clock support to our boarders. Our staff members are committed to ensuring that our boarders feel safe, happy, and supported throughout their stay.
We understand that boarding can be a big transition for both students and parents, and we strive to make the process as smooth and comfortable as possible. We provide regular communication with parents and guardians to ensure that they are up-to-date with their child’s progress and well-being.
