Northwood Athletes Excel at Umlazi District Trials

On Tuesday 1^st March a number of athletes from Northwood took part in the Umlazi District Athletics Trials held at Chatsworth Stadium. Ross Venning-Pridham placed 1^st in the U17 javelin with a distance of 44,75m and 2^nd in the discus. His performance in the javelin event has qualified him to take part in the KZN Champs to be held on the 11^th and 12^th March at Chatsworth Stadium. Sabelo Shangase won gold in the U17 High jump with a height of 1,75m and has also qualified for the Kzn Champs. Keane Fourie placed 3^rd in both the 100m and 200m and is the reserve for those events.
