The World Knowledge Olympiad sponsored by the University of the Free State was written nationally and Northwood entered 43 boys into the competition. Delon Baker of Grade 8 came 3rd for Grade 8 in KZN and won R700. In the Grade 9 section, Sergio Da Silva, came 2nd second in KZN, winning the Silver Award and R900.
